This is some Concept Art for the "Ascension" comic seires I've been working on.
This is the first stab I made at the Logo for the series. I don't consider myself finished with the logo... but this concept was immediately approved, so I've decided to put it on the back-burner until (or if) I decide I need to make a better one.
The typeface is based off of a typeface called "Vinque," with some hand-painted modifications. The line below is Runic (gibberish) followed by "The Lost Soul" which is the subtitle I've been working with during the conceptual stages.
The background is entirely hand-painted, kind of made to look like old leather. The Celtic Cross that dots the "i" is going to be the figurehead for the main character's staff.
